Charles Varvayanis Computer and Communication Systems
Link Bandwidth Adjustment Procedure from within the Charles Varvayanis Network (Internal Only)
The network is comprised of multiple point-to-point radio links.
The radio links are negatively affected by heavy rain, wet snow and melting snow in the trees.
In order to maintain more stable connections during these conditions, it is necessary to reduce the "Channel Width" of these links in advance of expected negative conditions:
Sierra Village to Abraham Avenue Link
Abraham Avenue to Jordan Way West Link
Jordan Way West to Wheeler Road
When adjusting bandwidth, adjust the radios one at a time, starting at the farthest radio first (top of list) moving toward the nearer radios (bottom of list).
NOTE: Once the process of changing bandwidth has begun, this webpage will become inaccessible.
Connecting to each of the radios prior to beginning the procedure may be useful.
Clicking on each of the links below will open a new browser window for each radio:
Condition: Poor = 5 MHz, Normal = 10 MHz
Procedure for adjusting bandwidth:
Connect to each of the radios by clicking on the links above.
Login to each of the radios.
Do the following for each of the radios in order starting at the farthest radio (in the order listed above):
Click on the "WIRELESS" tab.
Click on the "Channel Width" dropdown menu and select the desired bandwidth.
Click on the "Change".
Click on the "Apply".
